Riverside Museum and the Clyde

A red kayak on the Clyde with its occupant pointing into the distance

Having visited the Riverside Museum over 10 years ago, I was recommended the newly built Govan footbridge, or as some locals have nicknamed it, the Swivelly Bridge, as a great place to take photos.

One of the longest opening pedestrian bridges in Europe, it provides an excellent view of the Clyde as well as being rather photogenic itself. I also found it quite fun to experiment with the lines of the museum, as well as some reflections and lights in the windows.

While I was taking photos of the bridge I was also lucky enough to spot a kayaker passing under the bridge, who then shouted out that there was a seal in the river about 30 meters away from the bridge. As you can see, I managed to capture a couple of shots with the seal on the surface before it disappeared below the surface.
